An old lady dies in a nursing home. Her nurse inherits her fortune. The family of the deceased cry out a scandal, accusing the beneficiary, a migrant, of trickery and attempting to revenge them for her poor working conditions. They look for evidence. Insurance experts investigate and create a whirlwind of family tragedy and tricky management policies. Pflege und Verpflegung – À bout de soins points fingers at the economic measures care centres face, and blurs the ethics and taboos that surround care work in nursing homes for the elderly. Even the surtitles take on their own character, twisting the narration unexpectedly around another corner.
