Presenting the theatrical version of Billy the Kid, in Swiss-german. A cabaret-style play where the legendary scoundrel is called Billi dr Bueb. And sheriff Pat Garret, the Kid’s one-time companion who now wants him dead, is named Pädu Gerber. Inspired by westerns and Michael Ondaatje’s « The Complete Works of Billy the Kid », Matto Kämpf, Raphaël Urweider and Andreas Debatin return to the beginnings of theater and manage, with Billi dr Bueb, to sound as true as the original. Ten people on stage for an Emmenthaler venture that will undeniably remind of films by Sam Peckinpah, songs by Bob Dylan. And to Woody Allen. The story of the Kid, not at all like we could have imagined.
