In the beginning, the project was to be a remake of the Sergio Leone film « The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly » set in a village in Pakistan. After having spent a long time preparing the project, Shezad Dawood decided that a video would be obsolete : a pakistani version of Ennio Morricone’s music would be effective in evoking a visual of this remake. From this idea, Dawood decided to work with a famous pakistani sitar player, whom he asked to interpret another of Sergio Leone’s films « For a few dollars more ». The audience will listen to the recordings in a specially designed thetre space, thus producing an experience close to sufi ritual meditation. Vinyls of « For a few rupees more » will be available for sale at the Belluard. Shezad Dawood is one of 3 winners of the BBI 2005 creation contest.
